Your sailing yacht is waiting for you in the beautiful marina of Kas, with all the comforts you will need today. The port dues of Kas Marina are for your own account. Kas old town harbor is picturesque, but full of gullets and other day boats. We always choose the new marina. Kas Marina is fully equipped, laundry, small shops, a good supermarket, ATM, restaurants and luxury shower buildings. It is a 10-minute walk to the center of Kas and there are also plenty of taxis available if desired. Kas is a beautiful port city that you really must see. It is full of nice shops, restaurants and bars with a lot of live music and atmosphere in the evening. This is therefore also an excellent place to do your own research. It is definitely recommended to visit one of the bars with live music before or after dinner to enjoy the unique “hippy” atmosphere of this place. The beds for your entire crew have already been made, so you can start your holiday immediately after arrival.
The next morning there will be plenty of time to take a nice shower in the luxurious shower buildings and, when desired, take advantage of the delicious and abundant breakfast served by the harbor restaurant. You can enjoy this with a view of the bay and the sailing yachts. At 11 am you will receive an extensive briefing from us at the restaurant about what we are going to do and every day we pass on the possibilities of all things that we can still organize for everyone other than sailing. On other days we always brief you at 10:00 am. We do not have any set routes in this flotilla. We not only visit a lot of fairytale turquoise blue bays, but also a few fantastic harbor towns, each with a different character.
Sunday we immediately start with a fairytale destination. We anchor one night in a bay East of Kekova. This is a wonderfully beautiful turquoise blue bay to relax and where we dine on board our BBQ boat in the evening. During the day we roll out our “pool bar”, which young and old always enjoy to the full. Here you also have the Blue Grotto; one of the largest and most impressive caves on the Turkish south coast. This is easy to reach with the dinghy and with some caution you can also sail in with the dinghy.
On Monday we set sail for Üçağiz, this is a small picturesque fishing village and harbor in the region, it is still quite a sleepy and relaxed place. It has many good harbor seafood restaurants, old white buildings covered in bougainvillea and small souvenir shops. You can visit some of the Teimiussa ruins by walking to the east side of the harbor. Like many places in the Turkish Aegean Sea, Üçağiz was built on the ruins of an ancient place called Teimiussa. The picturesque fishing village is now popular as an anchorage for yacht owners and sailors, as well as other water sports enthusiasts, as it is very conveniently located and particularly protected. That evening we have dinner at Hassan’s place, who himself claims to be the best chef in the region. That promises something.
The next morning we leave for a fantastic bay close to Kas. This is a bay with a beautiful white beach with beach beds and terraces, surrounded by rock tombs. Something for everyone. Besides dinner in the evening, a breakfast buffet is served here.
Wednesday we leave for Kalkan, a special place with a unique atmosphere. This is a trip of approximately 35 miles and we will leave a little earlier than usual. Besides the famous “Kalkan style” historical architecture, the excellent restaurants add to the special atmosphere in Kalkan. Fine dining has always been the way of life in Kalkan and it will be maintained. In fact, Kalkan is said to have the highest number of restaurants and bars per inhabitant or per square meter on the Turkish coast. As an extra, Kalkan is especially known in Turkey for its large number of roof terrace restaurants and bars with stunning views of the city, sea and stars. It is also nice to sit in one of the excellent harbor side restaurants and watch the pleasure boats and fishermen leave early in the morning when you have breakfast or return with the catch of the day. There is plenty to do in the day and the nightlife is fun, but relaxing. You will not find noisy, wild nightlife like in Marmaris.
From Kalkan the sailing trip returns to the Gulf of Fethiye, with today a somewhat longer stretch to Coldwater Bay, also known as the Blue Lagoon of Turkey. Here we have the opportunity the next morning to visit the abandoned city of KayaKoy by means of a walking expedition with Yvonne or even to go paragliding, or sailing in the sky. Of course you can also simply enjoy the fairytale-like surroundings from your sailing yacht the next morning.
On Friday we moor again at our home base. People who come back a little early will then have plenty of time to visit the royal tombs in the city, or enjoy the comforts of our home base. In most cases, the guests come in early to end the week together at the pool bar. For guests who would like a wonderful hammam treatment on Friday or Saturday, it is best to indicate this a few days before arrival, so that we can reserve this for you.
For those who love it, we reserve Megri restaurant or Mori restaurant at our home base for dinner. Megri is a very good restaurant in the middle of the old city center, on a square under a foliage. Delicious food in the middle of the Turkish atmosphere with herb and carpet shops, a good barber and nice shopping streets for after dinner and a bar street for the later hours. At our Yacht Classic resort we enjoy a delicious meal at the water where the fish swim by in large numbers. The swimming pools, pool bar and sun beds make it more than possible to relax before and after dinner. It is within walking distance of the old center and there is still enough time before and after dinner to explore and do some shopping if desired. Or just relax and enjoy the stars on the boat.
All in all, a sailing holiday that will far exceed all your expectations.
