You arrive in the small inner harbor of Bozburun, where we welcome you with open arms. Bozburun is a typical Turkish town where time has stood still a bit. A very small harbor, the silver mosque, nice shopping streets with those nice little shops, ATM machines various restaurants, various small supermarkets, a beach and much more. All residents are happy to welcome you in their port. With the flotilla we always eat at Osman. He always helps us with the reservation of the harbor places and here you can also use the showers at the back of his restaurant and his Wifi for free. The cuisine is exceptionally good and it is a wonderful place to sit back and enjoy the Turkish hospitality.
On the day of arrival and Sunday morning there is enough time to do your shopping in one of the supermarkets. So there is also enough time for a delicious Turkish breakfast at Osman. The first briefing is also on Sunday at 11 am at Osman’s terrace, so there is no need to hurry. The next destination is not very far from here.
Today we turn the corner towards Sailors Paradice, the name certainly does justice to this beautiful blue bay. A sea of tranquility with a fantastic restaurant, run by a very friendly family. For hiking enthusiasts, there are several paths that lead over the mountains, but you can of course also just enjoy this beautiful bay from the back deck of your sailing yacht or to take a dip in the turquoise blue water.
On Monday we have a short sail to Dirsek. Dirsek is breathtakingly beautiful. A bay where it is wonderful to stay. Wonderful swimming and snorkeling where there are underwater springs, especially an experience at full moon. A walk in the mountains is also very worthwhile, once above you have a beautiful view of the Greek island of Simi. At the diner table you find out that Turkish cuisine is delicious, fresh and very diverse everywhere. Dirsek is certainly not excluded.
On Tuesday we set course east and about 3 miles after the curve of the great cape we sail around an old castle into the bay of Buzukkale. Here are 3 restaurants, all with a jetty with mooring lines. With the flotilla we usually choose Lorina restaurant, which is located at the very back of the bay. An exceptionally beautiful and romantic place. From here you can take a beautiful walk to the remains of the old castle at the entrance of the bay. This hiking adventure is definitely worth it. In the evening there is often live music on the waterside.
From Bozukkale we leave Wednesday towards Ciftlic. This is a beautiful sailing trip of approximately 17 miles. Keep an eye on the water for any dolphins on the way. In Ciftlic we moor at Rafet Baba or at Mehmets Place. These are two brothers, each with a restaurant with an exceptionally good kitchen, both for dinner and breakfast. In the afternoon after arrival there is more than enough time to enjoy the magical blue water through swimming, various water sports and even water scooters. This bay also has beautiful beaches.
Thursday we have a long trip, where we sail into the Gulf of Fethiye. Here we moor at Sarsala and are welcomed by the owners of this fairytale-like place. Here too, the daredevils can indulge in various water sports and it is also a nice place to paddle board. The cuisine here is also exceptionally good and besides the fresh fish, the meatballs and the half chickens are recommended here. For guests who would like a wonderful hammam treatment on Friday or Saturday, it is best to indicate this a few days before arrival, so that we can reserve this for you.
On Friday we moor at our home base. People who come back a little early will have enough time to visit the royal tombs in the city, or to enjoy the comforts of our home base. In most cases, the guests come in early to end the week together at the pool bar.
For those who love it, we reserve Megri restaurant or Mori restaurant at our home base for dinner. Megri is a very good restaurant in the middle of the old city center, on a square under a foliage. Delicious food in the middle of the Turkish atmosphere with herb and carpet shops, a good barber and nice shopping streets for after dinner and a Barstreet for the later hours. At our Yacht Classic resort we enjoy a delicious meal at the water where the fish swim by in large numbers. The swimming pools, pool bar and sun beds make it more than possible to relax before and after dinner. It is within walking distance of the old center and there is still enough time before and after dinner to explore and do some shopping if desired. Or just relax and enjoy the stars on the boat.
Saturday you have a day off. For example, you can rent a car and explore the area, or take a jeep safari or explore Fethiye. But of course you can also simply enjoy all the comforts of our home base. The swimming pools, the beach beds, the pool bar, the restaurant and there is even a very good hammam are all at your disposal. In the meantime, the sailing yacht is moored in front of the resort. The service at our home base is of an exceptionally high level, they even bring the snacks and drinks to your beach bed. Today you also have enough time to do any shopping for the following week. The supermarket is close by and is happy to bring your groceries on board for you, also refrigerated.
In the evening you can enjoy a delicious dinner by the water, where the fish often swim by and if you are lucky, a water turtle will also swim by. The kitchen is of a high standard and you are pampered by the service.
The next morning there is plenty of time to take a nice shower in the luxurious shower buildings and enjoy the delicious and abundant breakfast. You can also enjoy this at the waterside with a view of the bay and the sailing yachts. At 11 am you will receive an extensive briefing from us at the pool bar about what we are going to do and every day we pass on the possibilities of all things that we can organize for everyone besides sailing. Other days we will brief you again at 10:00 am. We not only visit all fairytale turquoise blue bays, but also a few fantastic harbor towns, each with a different character.
On Sunday we leave after the briefing towards the Karacaören. Swimming and snorkeling is a must in this bay, it is a true aquarium. There is a simple, but cozy restaurant at a height of 10 meters, from where you have a fantastic view over the bay. At the Karacaören you can still play table tennis and even dance after a meal.
Monday we leave for Kalkan, a special place with a unique atmosphere. This is a trip of approximately 35 miles and we will leave a little earlier than usual. Besides the famous “Kalkan style” historical architecture, the excellent restaurants add to the special atmosphere in Kalkan. Fine dining has always been the way of life in Kalkan and it will be maintained. In fact, Kalkan is said to have the highest number of restaurants and bars per inhabitant or per square meter on the Turkish coast. As an extra, Kalkan is especially known in Turkey for the large number of roof terrace restaurants and bars with a beautiful view over the city, sea and stars. It is also nice to sit in one of the excellent harbor side restaurants and watch the pleasure boats and fishermen leave early in the morning when you have breakfast or return with the catch of the day. There is plenty to do in the day and the nightlife is fun, but relaxing. You will not find noisy, wild nightlife like in Marmaris.
The next morning we leave for a fantastic bay close to Kas. This is a fantastic bay with a beautiful white beach with beach beds and terraces, surrounded by rock tombs. Something for everyone. Besides dinner in the evening, a breakfast buffet is served here.
Wednesday we set sail to sail towards our secret restaurant. This needs some extra pointers at the briefing to get everyone ashore there, but is more than worth it. Here a fantastic walking excursion can be made and in the evening Yvonne and I will have to help in the restaurant as they normally have a maximum of 4 guests. We also include the menu a day in advance so that we can prepare these people for an invasion. Awesome!!
The distances in Kekova are not that great, so there is enough time to discover everything. Today is Thursday and we moor at Hassan in Kale Köy, at the bottom of the castle. This gives everyone the opportunity to view all the beauty here and to walk past the stalls that are scattered along the route. Almost at the top of the mountain there is also a nice café “I’m here !!”. A beautiful place to have a drink or an ice cream in the evening. Here you also have a fantastic view over the bay.
Then it is already Friday and time to sail to Kas. Kas old town harbor is picturesque, but full of gullets and other day boats. We always choose the new marina. Kas Marina is fully equipped, laundry, small shops, a good supermarket, restaurants and luxury shower buildings. It is a 10-minute walk to the center of Kas and, if desired, there are also plenty of taxis available. Kas is a beautiful port city that you really must see. It is full of nice shops, restaurants and bars with a lot of live music and atmosphere in the evening. This is therefore also an ideal place to do your own research. Often guests meet later in one of the bars with live music to enjoy the unique “hippy” atmosphere of this place. And then one more night on your sailing yacht enjoying the stars.
If you have arranged the transfers through us, you will automatically be picked up to arrive at the airport on time. If you have booked a hotel for a few days in Fethiye, you will be taken there.
This sailing holiday you will not forget for a long time and will also give you a smile from ear to ear in the future.
