Sailing with Children
A FANTASTIC ADVENTURE WHERE MANY NEW FRIENDS ARE MADE
During the school holidays, many children always go on a sailing holiday. For the children, the holiday starts immediately after arrival at the luxury resort of B&B Yachting. A refreshing dip in one of the swimming pools and making new friends started right here. The children can more than lose their energy and in the meantime the parents can recover from their trip by taking a nap on one of the beach beds or a drink in the pool at the pool bar.
On the Turkish south coast we have the most constant weather in the Mediterranean. Due to the micro climate in the Gulf of Fethiye, this makes a difference with the water temperature by around 8 degrees compared to, for example, Croatia or Greece at the start of the season. So even in the May and autumn holidays it is wonderful to swim here. By the way, it is also wonderful to stay with us in November.
The distances to be covered are not too great, so that they can be tailored on board to the youngest among the crew. There is plenty of time along the way to anchor and swim or fish. As soon as friends have been made, you will also see yachts lying together, so that the children can enjoy all the water fun together. In most cases they meet again in the course of the afternoon in the next beautiful bay. Because the children then have optimal fun together. This way the parents also have a real holiday and time for each other again.
In the bays there is plenty to do for the children, you can think of sailing with the dinghies, swinging with the swing rope into the water and of course also the various water sports options that are specially tailored to the children. In some bays Wiebe mobilizes the children to gather wood with them for a campfire in the evening. In the evening at dinner they always like to sit together and enjoy themselves optimally with all their new friends. Before and after dinner, many games, other than on the telephone, are often played with each other.
Turks also love children and keep a close eye on them around the water. For the little ones, make sure you have a well-fitting children’s life jacket, we also have them, but there are also very comfortable ones that are specially tailored for the little ones. That way they can also enjoy the beautiful water to the maximum and it feels a lot better for the parents and for us.
Teenagers and youth
It is always a pleasure for this group to arrive at our resort. They always know how to find each other quickly, it said on the jetty by the yachts, the swimming pool or the always cozy pool bar. During the flotilla many friendships are made and even new couples are formed who have been together for a long time.
Besides sailing and swimming in the turquoise blue bays, this group also often accompanies the excursions of Yvonne or they go out on their own on a discovery in the different bays and harbor towns. Besides the fairytale-like beautiful bays, we also visit nice places with fantastic entertainment options, lovely terraces and nice shops. We also have secluded bays where Wiebe blows up the “B&B pool bar”. With some nice music, this guarantees a perfect afternoon on the turquoise blue water for this group. Incidentally, this is an action that can always count on a lot of interest from almost the entire flotilla. In the evening after dinner, a card is often placed, by a campfire, a nice terrace or on one of the sailing yachts.
Young people often enjoy it so much that saying goodbye at the end of the flotilla does not always go without a tear. It is certainly this group who, after one or two weeks together, often meet up with each other once they are back home a few times and then also forge plans to quickly go back all together to the fantastic bays of Turkey.
